Beverley Callard is known to many as Liz McDonald on Coronation Street, a role she played on our screens for 30 years. Over the years Beverley has spoken candidly of her mental health and has since opened up on how it affected her confidence while she featured on the soap for the first time.

Taking to Instagram, Beverley invited her 160,000 followers to ask her questions on mental health.
One fan asked: “Do think working on Coronation Street and being on TV affected your mental health?”
She began: “Hi Amy, no one has ever asked me this question before.
“Yes, I do think my job really affected my mental health mainly because when I’m in a bad place or if I am having a bad day I suffer terribly from low self-esteem.
